Learning to live after death of spouse meeting Aug. 31
Bereavement Education Series entitled “Learning to Live After the Death of a Spouse” will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne. Gary Hunt to speak at Bluffton KOA
Sept. 4 & 5
Gary Hunt, Principal Chief of the Piqua Shawnee Tribe, will be at the Bluffton KOA Labor Day weekend Sept. 4 and 5.
On Saturday, Sept. 4 there will be a campground carry-in where Gary will prepare some traditional Indian dishes. KOA will provide the drinks. Those attending should bring a dish to share. Camp fire stories will be told after dinner. There will be demonstrations all day Sunday with a Sunset Indian ceremony at dusk.

Jamboree Noodle Dinner Sept. 5
A Jamboree Noodle Dinner will be held Sunday, Sept. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montplier Lions Club at the corner of High and Jefferson Streets.
Available will be chicken or beef and noodles with all the trimmings. Free will donations will be accepted during the event.

Young Birds host hike Sept. 5
Come out to Salamonie Interpretive/Nature Center at 10 a.m. Sept. 5 to take a hike and search for different species of birds on trails near the center. A birder from the Indiana Audobon Society will be there to lend a hand.

Women of the Word Conference Sept. 11
Women of the Word Conference (WOW) will be held Saturday, Sept. 11 at Covenant Chapel (Old Poplar Grove School) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Debbie Lowe, co-pastor of New Life Christian Church in Warsaw and Lemuel Vega, who founded Christmas Behind Bars, will be the speakers.
WOW was started by a group of women who wanted to share with friends, family and the community what Jesus Christ did for them and to teach, share, fellowship and encourage others.
