NHS Class of 1987 looking for classmates
The Norwell Class of 1987 will hold its 25th class reunion Saturday, Sept. 15. Information regarding the reunion can be found at www.norwellclassof1987.myevent.com. Sausage Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast March 31
Members of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge will host a free sausage biscuit and gravy breakfast Saturday, March 31, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at 211 W. Cherry Street. Food will be donated by The Snug Cafe in Bluffton.

A freewill donation will be taken. Proceeds will go to supply care packages for the 980th Engineer Batallion. Bluffton native 1LT Jeremy Crosbie is in that batallion in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Animal Spay/Neuter Clinic April 10
The next low-cost spay/neuter clinic will be held Tuesday, April 10th. There are a few more spots left for male cats only. A second clinic has been scheduled for April 24. Call the Animal Shelter for more information at 824-6063.

Rummage/Flea Market April 14 at Hartford City
The Blackford County 4-H Fairboard will sponsor a rummage/flea market sale Saturday, April 14, at the Blackford County 4-H Fairgrounds in Hartford City from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Opportunity Quilt top will be in a frame and ready to quilt. Bring a needle and help quilt during the meeting. Time will be spent viewing the Row Robins and Show and Tell. Free writing workshop offered March 30
Kayleen Reusser will conduct a free writing workshop on Friday, March 30 at 6 p.m. at The Brew Ha Espresso Cafe in Ossian.

Reusser, a Bluffton resident, is the author of nine children's books and also writes a weekly feature article for The Sunriser News. She will offer tips on getting published and will also be available for a book signing after the session.

Friends of Animal Shelter meeting March 12
The Friends of the Animal Shelter will meet Monday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m. at Bluffton City Hall conference room.

Agenda topics include upcoming events, garage sale, spay/neuter clinics and summer parades.
The public is welcome to attend the meeting. For more information call 273-1742.

Green and Growing program March 14 at Salamonie
Children ages two to five can attend the Green and Growing program for preschoolers at Salamonie Interpretive Center Wednesday, March 14, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Fish or tenderloin dinner March 16
Hoagland Area Advancement Association will sponsor a fish or tenderloin dinner Friday, March 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hoagland Park Pavilion located at 11320 Hoagland Road.

Chili Supper March 17 at Poneto
Members of the Poneto Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a chili Supper Saturday, March 17 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Poneto Fire House.

The menu will include chili, chicken noodle, sloppies, hot dogs, homemade desserts and drinks. A free will donation will be accepted at the event.

Paws to Read program offered in March at Markle Library
The Huntington Public Library Markle branch will offer Paws-to-Read Program on the following dates: Saturday, March 17, 14 and 28 from 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. at 197 East Morse St., Markle. In the program, children ages 6 through 12 participate in one-on-one sessions in which they practice reading aloud to trained therapy dogs.

For more information call the Huntington Library daily at 260-356-0824 or the Markle Branch at 260-758-3332 from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. Space is limited and registration is required. There is no charge for this program.

Coin and Currency Show March 18
The Fort Wayne Old Fort Coin Club will sponsor a coin and currency show Sunday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Allen County fairgrounds. There will be over 50 tables of numismatic material, free parking, free admission and food available.

Directions: Take I-69 to Exit 111B North on Lima to Carroll Road. Follow the signs to the show.

Toddler Gold Hunt March 6
Bring the little ones to the city gym to run and play Tuesday, March 6, starting at 11 a.m. to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Around 11:45 the parks department will bring children upstairs to hunt for chocolate coins, green fortune cookies, shamrock mints and gold!!!

This is a free event, and adults must stay and supervise their own children. The gym is open every Tuesday and Thursday in March from 11 a.m. to noon for tots to play. For more information call 824-6069.

Kid sign-ups March 10 at City Hall
Pee Wee Soccer, baseball, t-ball and girls softball registration will be Saturday, March 10, in City Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. Each league has a different cost and some leagues may require a birth certificate. Cost of pee wee soccer is $15. Call 824-6069 for more information.

Sausage Gravy and Biscuit Breakfast March 10
An all-you-can-eat sausage gravy and biscuit breakfast will be held Saturday, March 10, from 7 to 10 a.m. at Chester Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, just south of Southern Wells High School. A freewill donation will be accepted.

Noodle dinner March 11
A chicken or beef noodle dinner with all the trimmings will be held Sunday, March 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montpelier Lions Club at the corner of High and Jefferson streets. A freewill donation will be accepted. Carry-outs are available.

Dillman Potato Bar March 11
Members of the Dillman Church will sponsor a potato bar Sunday, March 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 8888S-100W in Wells County.

The menu will include baked potato with 10 different toppings, ham sandwiches, hot dogs, assorted desserts and drinks. A freewill offering will be accepted with proceeds going to missions. The church is located three miles west of Ind. 3 on 900S, just six miles east of VanBuren. Call 260-375-2779.

Soup and Sandwich Dinner March 11
Members of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Friedheim will sponsor a soup and sandwich dinner with a craft and bake sale Sunday, March 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School located at 11565 U.S. Hwy. 27 North, Decatur. The menu will include homemade soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Drive through and carry-outs will be available.

Cooking Class offered March 12
The Parks and Recreation Department will offer a cooking class Monday, March 12, at the Bluffton Middle School Culinary Arts Room. Cost and Menu are still to be determined.
