An original opera, The Twelve, by Joseph Gudel and Dave Frincke of Fort Wayne will have its world premiere on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Concordia Lutheran High School Auditorium, 1601 St. Joe River Dr., FW. An encore performance will be held on Sunday, Aug. 29 at 2 p.m.
The performance will feature an adult cast of singers and dancer from the region. Tickets ate $10 for adults, $5 for students and children 5 through 18 with those under 5 free. A family ticket is available for $30. (Note the show is rated PG for some scenes of simulated violence.)
The entire gospel story is told from the perspective of the apostles—Jesus is never onstage.
Dr. Gudel is a Lutheran pastor and Director of Campus Ministries at Concordia Lutheran High School and Frincke is a much sought after young musician and Concordia graduate with four CD’s to his credit.
