A Night of Music a Cabaret Aug. 5
Natasha Gilgen, a Norwell High School graduate, will perform musical theatre songs with Drew Wutke accompanying and Arlene Stoller performing special music tonight, Aug. 5 at the Creative Arts Center of Wells County at 211 W. Water Street, Bluffton. Food and wine service will begin at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 per person. Calvary Lutheran Fish Fry Aug. 6
Calvary Lutheran Church will hold it's annual Fish Fry fundraiser Friday, Aug. 6 from 4-8 pm. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE CLOSET! Pre-sale tickets are $9 for adults or $10 at the door. Tickets for children, age six through 12 are $6. Children age five and younger are FREE. If people would like to purchase tickets ahead of time, they can call (260) 824-8574 and ask for Keely.

NHS Class 1975 reunion Aug. 7
The Norwell High School Class of 1975 will gather Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Trails End Pavillion at Ouabache State Park. Social and Registration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Dinner will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with the event continuing until 11 p.m. Cost is $15 per person. Dinner will included pulled pork with two sides, bottled water and assorted soft drinks. Those wishing to bring an appetiser, salad or dessert and beverage of choice are welcome to do so. Music of the Wild Star Gazing & Night Hike Aug. 7
Come to Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site on Aug. 7, from 9 to 11 p.m., for Music of the Wild Star Gazing and Night Hike!
Visitors at this event will explore the Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site and the surrounding Wildflower Woods on Sylvan Lake with our Site Naturalist for this unique walk in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Gene Stratton-Porter’s Music of the Wild. As you cover the site, you’ll hear common and not-so-common sounds of the night like owls, bats and other critters.
Once the stars are out, see if you can identify constellations or maybe even catch a shooting star! Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Cost is $3 per person.

LaFontaine Regional Arts Exhibit taking entries
The LaFontaine Arts Council is accepting entries for this year’s Regional Art Exhibit. The exhibit will be held at the Robert E. Wilson Gallery at the Merrilat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University on Friday, Aug. 13 through Sept. 1, 2010.
Entries will be received on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10-11:30 a.m. Entries should be delivered to the Merrilat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University. To obtain an entry form, call the LaFontaine Arts Council office at 260-358-0055 or email ddyer23@comcast.net. Entry forms are also available at Four Corners Custom Framing and the Huntington Visitors Center in downtown Huntington.

Trinity Life evening service Aug. 8
Trinity Life Chapel, located approximately one mile south of Berne, will have their third monthly evening service Sunday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. Rev. Mike Brewer, Assistant Conference Superintendant of the Eph. 4 Newtork will be the guest speaker. The public is welcome to attend the service. Pastor is Terry Werst.

Animal Shelter meeting Aug. 10
Friends of the Animal Shelter will meet Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Bluffton Police Station. Items on the agenda include dog days of summer event, spay neuter clinic sign up, and street fair sign up. All animal lovers are welcome to attend. Call 273-1742 for more information.

August Angel Food orders being taken
Angel Food Ministries August menu orders with a new lower price can be placed at Sonlight Wesleyan Church between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or you can order online at www.angelfoodministries.com.
