Flu shots available Oct. 14
The Wells County Health Department will be offering the seasonal flu shot on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church, Ossian.
Morelands to speak about Alaska Oct. 22
The public is welcome to attend a travelogue presented by Gerald and Ruth Moreland of their recent three-week trip to Alaska.
They will speak Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Warren Church of Christ.
Mimetime
performance
Oct. 24
St. Mark Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Rd., Fort Wayne, is presenting Mimetime (mime to Christian music) performance by youth from Church of the Good Shepherd, Leo, on Oct. 24. Entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m. following a 5 p.m. meal of Pizza Hut pizza and tossed salad. After the show make your own sundaes. Cost is $6 for program, dinner and ice cream. Great Pumpkin Hunt set for Oct. 24
Join us at Lancaster Park Saturday Oct 24 with a flash light to hunt Halloween eggs in the dark. Event starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. Afterwards enjoy smore’s and hayrides. FREE EVENT. For more information call 824-6069.
Trick or Trunk at Southern Wells
Oct. 24
Trick or Trunk will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Southern Wells parking lot.
Cars with trunks full of treats for your child will line the east parking lot of Southern Wells Schools Oct. 24. A free supper of hot dogs, chips, dessert and drink will also be provided.
The event is sponsored by a ministry of Southern Wells Community Church.
Ivy Tech Hosting Fall Harvest Night on Oct. 27
Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast’s Convention and Meeting Management class will host Fall Harvest Night at Ivy Tech that includes dinner featuring the movie “Young Frankenstein” on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009. This is a family-friendly event open to the general public until it is sold out. Tickets are $7 and must be purchased in advance (methods of payment: cash or checks made payable to the Ivy Tech Foundation).
The event will be at Ivy Tech’s new Student Life Center gymnasium on the North Campus (4900 St. Joe Road). Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the Fall Harvest Night at Ivy Tech will benefit the Culinary European Trip contest.
