Ossian community fall fest Oct. 17
Free community fall fest will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ossian Church of the Nazarene.
Activities include food, games, prizes, hayride, and “Trunk or Treat” for kids so bring a pail or sack. Open to adults and kids is a decorated pumpkin contest.

Turkey shoot Oct. 11
The Willshire Sportsman's Club will hold a Turkey Shoot Sunday Oct. 11 starting at noon on the club grounds located two miles east of Willshire, Ohio on State Road 81. Only 12 gauge shotguns will be allowed and the shells will be furnished. Youth shoots will be held for youth 16 years of age and under. 20 gauge shotguns only will be allowed for the youth shoots and the shells will be furnished. A lunch stand will be serving sandwiches and beverages. Public is welcome.

Financial Peace
University to begin Oct. 14 at Hope
Financial Peace University will begin a 13-week program starting Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 6:45 p.m. at Hope Missionary Church at 429 E. Dustman Road, Bluffton. The course is taught by Dave Ramsey. For more informatin call Kent Arnold at 824-1844 or arnoldk@nadams.k12.in.us.

Deer Me program
at Salamonie
Oct. 14 & 15
Register you child, ages two through five, for the “Deer Me” program Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Thursday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Salamonie Interpretive Center.
During the hour and half program children and their caregiver will enjoy activities focused around white-tailed deer and their role in the environment. There is a $2 fee per child for the program. The entrance fee will be waived for program attendees. Call 260-468-2127.

Volunteer
Community Support Work Day Oct. 15
The Wells County Extension Homemakers will hold their semi-annual work day Thursday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 4-H Community Building at the 4-H Park in Bluffon.
During this work day library bags will be made for First Read Program, hand work will be done on turbans for cancer patients and small throws will be made for children at Riley Hospital. You don't have to be an Extension member to come. If you do choose to come, bring a dish to share for lunch. For more information call 260-622-7422.
