Meadowvale Car Show planned
Meadowvale Health and Rehabilitation is planning a car show to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. It will be held on October 10th, 8 a.m. Noon is registration, 3 p.m. awards will be given. $10 per car entry. There will be entertainment and food on site. Reservations due for Holiday Happenings
On Thursday, Oct. 22 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wells County Community Center at the 4-H Park, members of the Wells County Extention Homemakers will host an evening of sharing holiday decorating and cookig ideas with the community to help people in their holiday planning.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. Rhonda Ryan, Master Gardener, will share “Living Wreathes and Things”. At 6:30 p.m. Barbara Schatzley will tell how to entertain with “Holiday Goodies.” At 7 p.m. refreshments will be served.
At 7:30 p.m. Linda Walters will demonstrate “A Twist on Placemats.” At 8 p.m. Chef Miaon of the Rittenhouse Restaurant will sharing his expertise on Holiday Biscotti. There will be taste testing and door prizes.

Vocal Music Clinic for Adults Oct. 24
A Vocal Music Clinic will be offered Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Creative Arts Council. Cost is $25 per person.
At parties and gatherings do you hang back, afraid to “pipe up” when the songs begin? Are you in a choir or chorus, and still looking for some finetuning? If so, your goals can be reality! Susan E. Wood is offering a Vocal Music Clinic for adults on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the center’s Studio B at 10 a.m to noon.
This workshop will appeal to nonprofessional singers who are interested in developing and strengthening voice by reviewing vocal fundamentals, working with breath, ear training, and expanding range. Three Rivers Gem, Mineral, Jewelry
and Fossil Show
Oct. 16-18
The 48th annual Three Rivers Gem, Mineral, Jewelry and Fossil Show and Sale will be held Oct. 16 and 17 from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. and Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Allen County 4-H Fairgrounds in Fort Wayne. The theme this year is “Hidden Beauty: A look inside Geodes.” There will be working demonstrations including a flint knapper on Saturday and Sunday, exhibits, dealers and more. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for those age 55 and older, $1 for high school students and free for those under age 12.

Kitco Reunion
Oct. 17
A reunion for all former employees of Kitco and their families will be held Saturday, Oct. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. at Bi-County Services in Bluffton (across from Scott's). Those attending should bring a main dish and one side side. Tableware and drinks will be provided.

Bag and Basket event Oct. 20

Wooden Pumpkin Craft making Oct. 21
Kids can stop by the city gym from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday,k October 21 (parent teacher day) to build a pumpkin basket perfect for holding holiday candy. Children ages 8 and up must bring a hammer and $4 that day. Parents must call 824-6069 to pre-register the kit.
