Callithumpian Quilt Show Oct. 24-25
The Callithumpian Quilt Show will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 25, from noon to 4 p.m. Making this the 8th annual show sponsored by the Creative Quilters Guild. The show will be held at the Riverside Center, 231 East Monroe Street (US 224) in Decatur.
A display of 180-200 quilts will be on exhibit. A merchants mall will be available for those quilting must-haves. Many awards will be given including People’s choice and Judge’s choice.
Local quilter, Susan Lesh, will have a trunk show on Saturday, Oct.24, at 1 p.m. She will be discussing and displaying her wide selection of quilts. Information about the show is as follows:
• Bring your quilts or quilted items to the Riverside Center on Friday, Oct. 23, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and complete an entry form available on location.
• Pick up your items on Sunday, Oct. 25, between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
• There is no charge for displaying your quilts.
• Categories are Pieced, Mixed Technique, Miscellaneous, Garments, Quilts made by kids and Wall hangings up to 48”.
