Teen Read Week @ the Library

The theme of National Teen Read Week Oct. 18-24 is “Read Beyond Reality” and local teens are invited to join the weeklong activities @ the Wells County Public Library.

Monday, Oct. 19 from 3-7 p.m. Wash Books & Earn: Washing library books is not only a great community service, it’s a great way to pay off your overdue fines or earn books. Earn $10/hour off your library fines or receive one free book of your choice for every 1 1/2 hour worked. Registration is strongly suggested.

Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 6-7:45 p.m. Movie Nite: Bring your friends and enjoy fresh popcorn as we watch a fantasy thriller starring Brendan Fraser and Sienna Guillory on the big screen. Call for the movie title. Rated PG. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 22 @ 5:30 p.m. Gocks - Sock Puppets w/ Attitude: Make Goth Sock Puppets, complete with tattoos and piercings. Not into goth? We have patterns for “normal” puppets as well. We provide white and black socks. If you want another color, you will need to bring it yourself. Crew socks work the best. Register by 10/19/09. Free.

To sign up for Teen Read Week programs or for more information, contact the Wells County Public Library at 260-824-1612 or www.wellscolibrary.org
