Norwell Dollars for Scholars accepting donations
The Norwell Dollars for Scholars Chapter is still accepting donations. This program provides scholarship to graduating Norwell High School seniors that have committed themselves to academic excellence.
Last year, Dollars for Scholars raised over $32,000 and awarded 50 scholarships to Norwell students. The awards ceremony will be held May 15, 2009.
Anyone wanting to contribute can make checks payable to: Norwell Dollars for Scholars and mail to: P.O. Box 86, Ossian, IN 46777.

Friends of the
Shelter benefit garage sale
April 24 & 25
A garage sale will be held Friday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 4-H Community Center. Bakers rack, 2 man inflatable raft, book bags, 50 quart coolers, microwaves, printer, Snoopy dog house storage bin, Garfield storage bin, apple baskets, VCR, dishes, blue roaster and much more. No early arrivals please! All proceeds to benefit Friends of the Shelter.

Concert at Covenant Christian School April 24
Bluffton Covenant Christian School will sponsor a bluegrass, southern gospel concert fundraiser on April 24th at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served for a donation. The school is located a mile south of Krogers.

Port-a-Pit Chicken April 24
The Bluffton Optimist Club will sponsor a Nelson's Port-a-Pit Chicken fundraiser Friday, April 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Villa North Mall on North Main Street, Bluffton.
Cost is $5.50 for a helf chicken. Tickets are available from any Bluffton Optimist member. Carry-out will be available. All proceeds will be used to sponsor youth activities in Wells County.
