April 23
Members of the Wells County Extension Homemakers will host their Spring Volunteer Community Support Work Day Thursday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the meeting room in the Wells Community 4-H Building.
This year the group will be cutting fleece blankets for Riley Children’s Hospital. They will use 42”x72” fleece, trim corners and cut strips around the edge to be tied. Those attending do not have to be sewers. They just have to bring their best cutting scissors.
Cancer turbans will also be hand sewn cut. Those attending will also make library book bags that will be used in the fall and the First Read program.
Those attending do not have to be members of the club.
There will be a carry-in lunch. Volunteers are asked to bring a dish to share. For more information call Carol Baker at 260-622-7422.
