Port-a-Pit chicken sale April 26
The Wells County Democratic Party will sponsor a Nelson's Port-a-Pit Chicken Sunday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Villa North Mall on North Main Street.
Tickets are $5 for a half chicken and can be purchased by calling 824-4039. Extra chicken will be available. (Pd. Advt.)

Purses by Jerry
May 27
The Liberty Center United Methodist Church will host a presentation by Jerry Shaw on Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
She will display several of her purses, totes, backpacks, travel bags, and car waste containers. Items will be for sale, and she will also take orders. Fifteen percent of the sales will be donated to the parsonage project. For more information, call 824-3807.

Tri-State Bluegrass Festival
May 21-24
The 33rd annual Spring Tri-State Bluegrass Festival will be held over Memorial Day weekend May 21-24 at the Noble County 4-H Fairgrounds in Kendallville.
In addition to the stage shows, there will be plenty of music around the camp fires, day and night, and pickers are welcome and encouraged to join in.
There will be three large covered areas at the stage and concession stands with a variety of food, novelties, compact discs and tapes. Limited bleacher seating is available, so lawn chairs are suggested.
Performing bands include: All4Hym, Carefree Highway, Coaltown, Vince Combs and Shadetree, Echo Valley, Freight Hoppers, James Creek Road, NE Indiana Suzuki Fiddlers, New Southern Drive, Palmer Divide, Rock Islannd Plow Co. and Frank Solivan and Dirty Ktichen.
A weekend pass is $25 and includes camping, limited electric. Water is $5 extra.

Festival will be held Sept. 3-7
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, the World’s Greatest Classic Car Show and Celebration, is scheduled for Sept. 3 through 7.
Festival activities include GuitarFest, a garage tour, the Hoosier Tour, a downtown cruise-in with 600-plus vehicles, the "Sundaes on Friday" ice cream social, the Kid’s Art tent, a kiddy tractor pull, the Kruse Collector Car Auction, a Night Parade, two Antique Shows, an Arts and Crafts Show, a Downtown Historical Tour, Cemetery Tour, Mascot Olympics and much more.
