Cardboard Boat Race July 20
The annual Cardboard Boat Race has been scheduled for July 20. Those participating need to build a boat that two people can ride in down the length of the pool (50 meters). Call 824-6069 to register and to obtain the rules.
Pastor Dewey Miller Benefit Ride July 20
A benefit will be held for Pastor Dewey Miller Saturday, July 20 at Montpelier Church of the Nazarene at 440 N. Standard Blvd. in Montpelier.
Proceeds will go to Pastor Miller and his family to cover medical expenses incurred during a long hospital stay.
A Child Friendly Benefit Ride will begin with registration at 11 a.m. (includes meal). Bikes will leave at noon. The last stop will be Brandt’s Harley Shop. Bikes will return to the church for food, fun, games and an auction.
The bake sale will start at noon. The meal will begin at 2:30 p.m. The auction will commence at 4:30 p.m.
The meal will include hamburger, hot dog, sides and desserts. A free will donation will be accepted for the meal.
Donations for the auction can be dropped off that day between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Hollowblock Monster Car Show cancelled for July 20
The Hollowblock Monster Car Show planned for Saturday July 20 has been cancelled due to health issues of the promoter and not enough volunteers for the event.
Anyone who would like to participate next year can call Duane at 260-729-3500.
Liberty Center VBS July 21-25
Liberty Center Community VBS will be held Sunday, July 21 through Thursday, July 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.
