Creativity show at FW’s St. Francis
Ventures in Creativity:—the Fort Wayne Artists Guild Show is now on view at the Weatherhead Gallery at the University of Saint Francis.
The exhibit was judged by Vianna Szabo, an accomplished portrait and plein-air painter. The exhibit will be viewable through Aug. 16. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Gallery is located just off of Leesburg Rd.
Pulse Opera House Fish Fry July 19
Pulse Opera House will sponsor a Fish Fry Friday, July 19, from 4-7 p.m. at The Knight-Bergman Center in Warren. The fish will be prepared by Dan’s Fish Fry.
The menu will include fish, tenderloin, green beans, applesauce, bread and dessert.
Pre-sale tickets are $8 for ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 6-11 and free for those age five and younger. Tickets at the door are $9 for adults 12 and up and $6 for 6-11 year olds. Call Deanna Albertson at 260-224-3013.
Vintage Motorbike Club National Meet July 20-24
The vintage Motorbike Club will hold its 41st national meet July 20-24 at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland. This annual event is the largest meet of its kind in the nation featuring Vintage Cushman Motorbikes.
An all-day pass at the gate is $5. This event will feature several variety of older bikes and scooters, show bikes and a swap meet, parts, treasures, junk, food and fun for all.
Visitors to the Vintage Bike Show are encouraged to look, buy, sell or trade.

James Dean Ride July 21
The James Dean Ride will be held Sunday, July 21. Sign in will be at 8 a.m. at at the truck stop in Warren at I-69 and State Road 5. Ride will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Bluegrass Jam at Limberlost July 21
A Bluegrass Jam will be held at Limberlost Historic Site Sunday, June 21 from 2 to 4 p.m.Musicians can show off their talents and entertain others. Those attending should bring a lawn chair. The event is free. For more information call 260-368-7428.
Enter quilts in Swiss Days Show July 24
The Swiss Stitchers Quilt Guild Quilt Show will be held during the annual Berne Swiss Days festival July 25-27. The quilt show will be held at the South Adams School cafeteria at 1000 W. Parkway Street in Berne.
The Swiss Stitchers challenge this year is “Earth, Wind and Fire.” The entered wall hanging must be no larger that 50”x50” and no smaller than 40”x40”

Free lunch offered July 24
Southern Wells Community Church will be serve free lunches (no donations) at the corner of Main Street and Ind. 18 in Montpelier and also at the intersection in Keystone. from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10.
