Open Mic Night & Coffeehouse Experience July 9
Huntington City-Twp. Public Library encourages teens in grades six through 12 to get vocal and show off their talents at the Library’s Open Mic Night and Coffeehouse Experience Tuesday, July 9 at the Main Library. Teens may read a poem, sing a song, play an instrument, tell a joke, act out a skit, or display one of their many talents. (Everything must be in good taste.) Performers need to stop by the Library and have their material approved by July 1.
Registration is appreciated by calling 260-356-2900. The Main Library is located at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington.

Pottery Program July 10
The Wells County Public Library will be holding a pottery program on Wednesday, July 10 from 6-7:30 p.m. Local art teacher Vicki VanMatre will give a demonstration on creating hand-built pottery, using both the press-mold and coil techniques and a variety of decorating ideas.
Participants will get a chance to glaze and decorate a bowl that Vicki created, which will then be fired in a kiln and can be picked up about a week after the class.
This program is open to all area residents that are adults or teens. There is a $15 cost for materials (if you want to decorate a bowl) or come for the demo only for free.
Registration is required. Sign up at the library, call 260-824-1612, or online at www.wellscolibrary.org. The registration fee can be handed in any time before the class at the Main Library.
