The ladies of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ossian are again selling old-fashioned mincemeat which contains apples, roast beef, plums, raisins and spices.

Dancing on Sundays at YMCA
Local club Scatter 8's will offer square dancing lessons on Sunday, Oct. 17, 24 and 31 at the YMCA in Bluffton from 2 to 4 p.m. The first lesson is free.
Those looking for fun, fitness and friendship can get all three by square dancing. In one evening of dancing the average dancer will exercixe and equivalent of walking seven miles!
No alcohol is allowed during the dance and most locations are smoke-free. Ages in not a barrier.

Rehearsals continue for Handel's Messiah
The Mennonite Choral society has begun rehearsals on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. for Handel’s Messiah” which will be performed Saturday and Sunday December 4 and 5 at the First Mennonite church in Berne.
Rehearsals will continue weekly on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. thru Nov. 30 at the First Mennonite Church, located at the intersection of U.S. 27 and State Road 218.
A dress rehearsal will be held Friday, Dec. 3. All singers are invited to join in the presentation; no tryouts are necessary.
Barns of Indiana Exhibit Oct. 18
Barns of Indiana Exhibit will begin Monday, Oct. 18 form 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center at 211 Water Street, Bluffton.

Historical Museum fall meeeting Oct. 18
The Wells County Historical Museum will hold a fall meeting Monday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Jim Sturgeon will speak about the 100th anniversary of the Kingsland interurban wreck. The public is welcome to attend the event.

2010 Senior Discount Cards are now available at the Wells County Council on Aging from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cards are $7 and are not transferable or $8 laminated. Many local vendors participate in this senior discount program. If it is impossible to go to the Council on Aging office to purchase a card, you can receive it by mail Send the agency a stamped, self-addressed legal sized envelope; enclose the $7 per card and the additional $1 fee if lamination is desired. The discount card and list of sponsors will then be mailed to you. Sale of Senior Citizens Discount Cards are a fundraising project for the local Council on Aging. The money raised by the sale of the cards supports many services the organization has to offer within the Wells County Community, including programs such as transportation and in-home services.
