October Angel Food orders being taken
Angel Food Ministries October menu orders with the special Holiday Boxes can be placed at Sonlight Wesleyan Church between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or you can order online at www.angelfoodministries.com.

Autumn Camping Oct. 1-3 & 9-10
The Upper Wabash Interpretive Services offers two Autumn Camping Weekends at Mississinewa Reservoir in October. Events are open to day visitors Oct. 1-3 and Oct. 9-10.
The first weekend offers mock medieval battles, a Swamp Stomp obstacle course, hands-on percussion music for kids, pellet rifles, canoeing, lumberjack and pioneer activities. Program fee is $2 each.
The second weekend offers a movie, family games and a pumpkin decorating contest. Fee is $1 per person.

Fall Art Exhibit and Sale open house Oct. 2
The “Brushing Boards” will present the third annual Art Show at the Creative Arts Council Balentine Gallery Oct. 2 through Oct. 12. There will be an open house party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. Rosemary Pope will entertain at the piano during the party. Meet and talk with the artists during the evening. Free light refreshments will be served while your browse. The sale will feature all local artists items including paintings, photography, pottery, painted glass and more.

Bowman Family Reunion Oct. 3
The annual Bowman BBQ Family Reunion will be held Sunday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to dusk at Ouabache State Park at the Lade Side Shelter. For more information call 260-273-4226.

Seniors Lunch Oct. 4
Individuals age 50 or above are invited to the senior's lunch Oct. 4 at Salamonie Interpretive Center. Guest speaker will be Pat Mooney. He will bring primitive tools and discuss people who lived in Indiana before contact withi Europeans. There will be a meal at 12:30 p.m. The meat dish will be provided. Tenderloin dinner Oct. 6
Dan's All-You-Can-Eat Fish and Tenderloin dinner will be held Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Ossian United Methodist Fellowship Hall at 201 W. Mill Street, Ossian. Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $4.50 for those age six through 12 and free for those age five and younger.
