Indian Artifact
Program tonight
Indian Artifact Program will be held Monday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Zanesville Lions Clubhouse, 3088 W. Van Horn St. Jim Bickel, of Huntington, will be on hand to do a show and tell about his extensive collection of Indian artifacts. Bickel loves a large crowd and the public is invited. Dinner is served, at a nominal fee, at 6:30 p.m. and the program follows at 7 p.m. He is well-known for his collection and his knowledge which will benefit young and old. Call for dinner reservations. No reservations are needed for the program only. Bring your kids and grandkids to this educational and entertaining evening. Call 638-4327.

Cole Porter revue
at history center
Oct. 14
On Thursday, Oct. 14, 6 to 10 p.m.. and again on Friday, Oct. 15, 7 to 11 p.m. the Indiana Historical Society will host “Anything Goes: The Cole Porter Revue” at the Indiana History Center in Indianapolis.
The Eli Lilly Hall will be transformed into a 1940s -era nightclub for a great evening of classic Porter music. The evening priced at $75 per person will include dinner and dancing accompanied by a five-piece band and a cabaret show about Porter’s life and music performed by Actors Theatre of Indiana. Oktoberfest
Luncheon offered
Bluffton Parks Department Oktoberfest Luncheon will offer a meal of shepherd’s pie, yeast rolls and German Chocolate cake made by the Culinary Arts Students at Bluffton High School. Then enjoy listening to George Berger play his accordion and talk about life in Germany. Cost is $6 and tickets can be reserved by calling 824-6069 by Oct 13.

Adult volleyball to start
Co-ed Adult Volleyball League will start in coordination with the Parks Department. There is still openings for two teams to play on Monday nights starting in November. This league plays for 12 weeks. Call 824-6069 for details.

Kinder Haus BBQ Chicken Dinner
Oct. 15
Swiss Village’s Kinder Haus Day Care will be host a Drive-Thru Chicken Dinner Fundraiser Friday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Tickets will be sold by pre-sale only. The Dinner will include Romers half chicken, applesauce, potato chips, and dinner roll with butter. Tickets can be purchased for $7 at the Swiss Village Front Desk or Kinder Haus Day Care through Oct. 8. Dinners can be picked up at the Swiss Village circle drive entrance on Oct. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Three Rivers Gem and Mineral Society Show Oct. 15-17
The Three Rivers Gem and Mineral, Jewelry and Fossil Show and Sale will be held Friday, Oct. 15 through Sunday, Oct. 17 at the Allen County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. School tours are by appointmtent.
Buy loose gems and get them set in traditional setting or wire wrappted. There will be working demonstrations, including a a flint knapper on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for those age 55+, $1 for high school students and free for children ages 12 and younger.
