The ladies of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ossian are again selling old-fashioned mincemeat.

Adult volleyball
to start
Co-ed Adult Volleyball League will start in coordination with the Parks Department. There is still openings for two teams to play on Monday nights starting in November. This league plays for 12 weeks. Call 824-6069 for details.

Natural Heritage of Indiana Travelogue Oct. 14
The next Travelogue, featuring Natural Heritage of Indiana, will be held Thursday, Oct. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center at 211 Water Street, Bluffton. Cost is $6 per person.

Celebration of Autumn Oct. 15
A Celebration of Autumn will be held Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Old Germen School.
Traditional hymns will be sung and played by the Sharp Creek Musicians. They will use dulcimer, violin and guitar accompaniment.
The school was built in 1887 by members of the St. Paul's German Evangelical church to provide religious education in the German language. The building has recenlty been restored and now contains various exhibits depicting the history of the church and the German settlement.
The school is located on the Huntington/Wabash County line. Three miles north of U.S. 24 at 3995N., 1000W. The program is free and open to the public. Call 260-356-4218 for more information.

Gospel Sing Oct. 15 at New Beginning
The New Beginning Church will present a Gospel Sing Friday, Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. featuring Wayne and Judy Moore of Vancouver, Washington. There will be an open mic sesssion for people to perform their own songs.

Revival at Trinity Life Chapel
Oct. 15-17
Trinity Life Chapel of Geneva will hold a revival Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m.
Speaking at all three services will be Rev. Kathy Sandlin of Greenville, SC.

Antique & Coins Appraisal plus BB gun shoot Oct. 16
Antique and Coins Appraisal will be held at the Zanesville Lions Club, 3088 W. Van Horn, on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Appraisals are three items for $10 with coin appraisals three for $10 also done by Jim Scheerer.
BB gun shoot for all ages (kids must be accompanied by an adult) will also be held. Cost is five shots for $2. BB guns will be provided by the Lions Club. Prizes will be a $15 voucher from Lengerich Meats.
Hotdogs, chili, coffee, soda and more will be available in the clubhouse. Proceeds will go to projects of the Zanesville Lions. For more information call Ken or Steve Keesler, 638-4240.

Lost in Tinseltown Oct. 16
Wells Community Theater will present Lost in Tinseltown Saturday, Ot. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at 211 Water Street, Bluffton.
Bring a group of friends for sleuthing! A buffet dinner prepared by Lighted Gardens will feature BBQ Ribs or Grilled Chicken Marsala tempting side dishes and salads with a dessert of Carrot Sheet Cake and drinks.

Forks of Wabash Chili event Oct. 16
The first annual Historic Forks of TheWabash Chili Cool-off, hosted by Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority, will be held Saturday, Oct. 16. Chili tasting starts at 5 p.m.
Chili will be judged by the public as well as a pannel of "highly qualified secert judges". The public will be purchasing soup cups four-4oz. cups and one-12 oz. cup for $3.
Other items will be available for a small fee. Hotdogs will be 50 cents, pop and water will be 50 cents and $1 for three cookies.
Winners will be anounced and prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m. Judges prizes will be first place $50, second place: $25, Peoples choice: $25 and prize valued at $25.00 will be awarded for the best booth decoration.

Homemakers to host International Night Oct. 19
International Night will be hosted by the Wells County Extension Homemakers on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Wells County Community Center at the 4-H Park located at 1240 S. 4-H Road in Bluffton.
Two speakers will be featured. Bill Horan, Agriculture and Natural Resource Educator, will be speaking on the subject” Purdue Cowpea Project in Nigeria” which he participated in during August of 2009. Karen Fear, representing “Women in Soy” of the United Soybean Board will share her experiences in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The public is invited to attend this event and pre-registration is encouraged by calling Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service at 824-6412.
A $2 charge for light refreshments will be collected at the door.
