Bluffton Entourage Tournament Oct. 9
The Bluffton Musical Entourage will sponsor a Corn Hole Tournament Saturday, Oct. 9 at Bluffton High School. Registration will begin at 10 a.m.
Cost is $20 for individual and $40 for a two person team. There will also be a Student Tournament at $5 per student. Cancellation scoring to 21, Double elimnation. Grand prize for champion and door prizes. Food and drinks will be provided.

Horse racing at Jay County Oct. 9
The Jay County Fairgrounds will host horse race Oct. 9, beginning at 11 a.m.
Five races will be held prior to the finals for Indiana Sired two and three year old trotters and pacers. The horses that make it to the finals will compete through eight heats with a purse of $20,000 each and eight heats of Consolations for a purse of $8,000 each.

Chester Township firefighters will host breakfast Oct. 9
Chester Township Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor an all-you-can-eat sausage gravy and biscuit breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. Free will donation will be accepted.
The department is located south of Southern Wells High School.

Autumn painting
workshop at CAC
The Creative Arts Council is offering “Autumn Branch Painting Workshop with instructor Joe Harbert of Muncie on Saturday, Oct. 9, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Arts Commerce & Visitors Centre.
Harbert is certified in this style used by Robert Warren and class participants will create a 15 by 20 inch canvas using acrylics. Cost of the class is $70 ($65 for CAC members) plus $7 for a palette of paints. Participants need to bring rags/towels for cleanup and wear washable clothing.

Petroleum UM Church Free fall
festival Oct. 10
The Petroleum United Methodist Church will sponsor a Free Fall Festival Sunday, Oct. 10 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church.
There will be live music by Gospel Overdrive, fun activities for the kids, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, games, a straw tunnel, chili cook-off contest and pie baking contest and a Euchre tournament.
