Lions Club offers free vision screening for children Sept. 12
The Ossian Lions Club will sponsor a free vision screening for children ages two through five will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 123 S. Jefferson Street, Ossian Saturday, Sept. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The screening will determine eye problems which can only be detected by photo-analysis. Photographs will be read by Indiana University eye specialists. If problems are detected, parents will be informed and the child will be referred to a local specialist for treatment.

Jakes Conservation Field Day Sept. 12
The Adams Wells Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will host a Porter Wagoner Jakes Conservation Field Day Saturday, Sept. 12 form 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Adams County 4-H Fairgrounds.
There will be supervised, hands-on outdoor activities for the kids.

Randy Long in
concert Sept. 13
Gospel singer Randy Long will perform a free gospel concert in honor of Grandparents Day Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Swiss Village in Berne in the auditorium. All grandparents are welcome to bring their families to enjoy this musical experience.
Please plan to arrive early because seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Bob Flowers Benefit Sept 13
A community benefit for Bob Flowers will be held Sunday, Sept. 13 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Wells County Community Cneter at the 4-H Park in Bluffton. He is at home recovering from two recent brain surgeries and blood clots in his legs.
There will be a hog roast with a $5 donation, a live auction starting at 1 p.m., raffles, games and a live dj. There will also be cornhole competitions, hillbilly golf and a washer toss.
Several nice prizes have been donated by Wells and Adams County businesses for the auction.
