Senior Citizen Fall Fest Sept. 14-17
The 2009 Salamonie Senior Fall Fest will be held Sept. 14-17 in the Modern Campground, Lost Bridge West. This four-day event is designed for mature adults.
Events includee Fly Tying instruction, Open Sew, Sunset Cruises, fishing, flower crafts, decorative pumpkin craft, fireside chats and more.
A $2 program fee entitles visitors to a program pass to use for the week's events. Those who wish to take the Sunset Cruise will be asked for a $5 donation to help offset costs.

A Parent’s
Roundtable Sept. 24
A parent-led discussion group will highlight the adoption journey and answer questions about their experience as adoptive parents Sept. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 90 at The Chapel located at 2505 W. Hamilton Road, Fort Wayne. A question and answer session will follow. This is a free event hosted by Hope to Orphans. No childcare provided.

FWMA director to discuss Indiana’s Hoosier Salon art
Charles A. Shepard III, the Executive Director of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, will be the guest speaker for the Creative Arts Council on Thursday, Sept. 17, 6:30 p.m., discussing “Back Home Again in Indiana: A Look at the Hoosier State’s Most Notable Artists.”
The free presentation will be in the Balentine Gallery at the Arts Commerce & Visitors Centre where the paintings from the Hoosier Salon’s 85th Tour are now hung. In addition four locally owned historic paintings by Hoosier Impressionists, now owed by Bluffton High School, will be on exhibit for the evening.
Bill Cline will open the program by singing the Indiana state song—Back Home Again in Indiana.
The exhibit will be viewable free of charge through Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
