Huntington craft show Nov. 14
The Huntington Parks and Recreation Department is looking for vendors to join it's annual Craft Show on Nov. 14, 2009. Booths are $20 each consisting of two 8 foot tables and are placed in Heritage Hall and the 4-H Community Building at Hier's Park. Location is on a first come, first served bases so get your registration fee into the park office as soon as possible. The office is located at 1205 W. Park Dr. Huntington IN 46750. James Dean Festival Sept. 25-27
The 34th annual Festival honoring James Dean is scheduled to take place during the weekend of Sept. 25 through Sept. 27 in the actors Hometown of Fairmount, Indiana.
Planned activities include a Huge Custom and Hot Rod Car Show all weekend. The Grand Parade will be held Saturday afternoon. There will be free live entertainment, carnival rides, street vendors, the always popular James Dean Look-a-Like Contest on Saturday evening, and much more!
Visitors can also see James Dean's final resting place at Park Cemetery and other locations of interest.

St. Luke Mission Feast Sept. 27
St Luke Church’s annual Mission Feast will be held Sunday, Sept. 27. Special guests will include Bill and Penny Gay who have just returned from Alaska, and Randall J Rider, president of Crossroad Children’s Home in Fort Wayne.
Several of the church members who went on a mission work trip to Kentucky this summer will review some of the highlights of their effort, and reports will also be given of the other missions supported by the church.
The regular service begins at 9 a.m. The mission presentations are scheduled for the Sunday School hour at 10:15 a.m., and the fundraiser dinner will be at the activity center at 11:30 a.m.
Dinner will feature a cookout by Todd Lotter and his crew. Brats, hot dogs, onion rings, french fries, elephant ears, and ice cream are on the menu.
St Luke Church is a non-denominational, evangelical church located seven miles east of Bluffton on Dustman Road. Call Mike Wertenberger, pastor, at 260-417-6400.

Free dinner at Life Sept. 27
Life Community Church will be serve a free dinner for the community this Sunday, Sept. 27 at 428 S. Oak Street in Bluffton.
Dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. Meals can be eaten at the church or carried out. There is a limit of five carry out meals per person. For more information, please contact Life at 824-2252.
