What's Up

Women's Basketball begins
Any female who enjoys playing the game of basketball can do so each Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Elementary.

Sign up for Co-Ed Volleyball
If you enjoy the game of volleyball and would like to play in our Co-ed League, the Bluffton Parks and Recreation is now taking registration.
Those interested must be at least 18 years of age to participate. Put together your own team and call us. There is a limit of eight teams, so call soon at 824-6069. The games will be held on Monday evenings beginning November 5 for 12 weeks.

Corning Glass Works employees to meet Sept. 26
Again this year employees of the Bluffton Corning Glass Works plant will hold a reunion with a dinner at Bi-County Services at noon Saturday, Sept. 26.
Meat, soft drinks and coffee will be furnished. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish to share. No alcohol is allowed.

No Farmer's Market this week
There will not be a Farmer's Market this week in Bluffton due to the Street Fair. The market will resume Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Ice Cream Social Sept. 27
Community Ice Cream Social will be held Sunday, Sept. 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Waynedale Park. Mark your calendars and join us for this informal community gathering. Ice cream and toppings are free! Event sponsored by Nine Mile United Methodist Church.

Worship Service & picnic lunch Sept. 27
Blessing of the Animals Outdoor Worship Service and picnic lunch will be held Sunday, Sept. 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 at the Waynedale Park. Join us for this special celebration. All are welcome, including leashed and caged pets. Free picnic lunches will be provided. Event sponsored by Nine Mile United Methodist Church.

Frankenmuth trip Oct. 21
The Bluffton Parks and Recreation still have seats available for the Frankenmuth. Mich. trip set for October 21. Cost is $45 per person which includes lunch.

City Wide Clean Up Oct. 3
Bluffton's City Wide Clean Up will be held Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at 702 North Main Street.
Bluffton residents may use the dumpsters. Recyclables, hazardous waste materials, furniture, tires, televisions, carpet, construction materials and brush cannot be accepted at this site. Look for more details on the City’s Website. www.blufftonindiana.net. For more information call 824-1520.

Holiday Bazaar Nov. 7 at South Adams
The 31st Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Adams High School. The event is sponsored by the Swiss Heritage Society.
There are still a few vendor spaces available 6’ x 10’ booth for $25 or with electricity $30. There is a two maximum 6’ x 10’ booth limit. If interested, please call Becky Nussbaum at 260-589-8866 or call Swiss Heritage Village at 260-589-8007.
