Salamonie Senior Lunch Aug. 3
Individuals ages 50 or older are invited to learn about the Little River Wetlands Project during the Aug. 3 Senior's Lunch at the Salamonies Interpretive Center.
Dwight Ericsson, board member on the fundraising committee at the Little River Wetland Project, will discuss how they restore and protect wetlands.
There will be a meal at 12:30 p.m. The meat dish will be provided. Those attending should bring a dish to share, their own table service and $1 donation to help defray the cost of the provided dish. To register call 2600-468-2127.
Fish Fry fundraiser Aug. 7
Calvary Lutheran C hurch on North Main Street in Bluffton will sponsor a Fish Fry fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. All proceeds will go to support the “Closet” at Family Centered Services
Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for children over age six. Children age five and younger are free.
The meal will include fish, chicken, applesauce, roll, potato salad, drink and dessert. An express drive through carryout will be available.
Wheels of
Yesteryear Parade Aug. 6
The Wheels of Yesteryear Parade will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 6. The parade will travel to downtown Bluffton and then back to the 4-H park. For more information call Ron Westfall at 260-341-3141.
Coles Concert Aug. 9
Roger and Lisa Coles will present a free concert Sunday, Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at C&C Bible Fellowship.

MDA fundraiser
Aug. 11
East of Chicago, Ossian, will be hosting this fundraising event Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. A portion of meals sold and any tips will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy Association. “Annual Stride and Ride”, funds raised will go to serve 16 families in Wells County.
Routine Malaise to perform Aug. 14
Local band Routine Malaise (formerly Blues Light Special) with special guests Tax Brandywine will perform a benefit concert for the Arts Place MusicWorks program on Friday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at 131 East Walnut Street, Portland. Routine Malaise is a local blues, classic, and alternative rock band based in Portland, Indiana. The band includes Portland natives Lee Haggenjos, Seth Rodden, Tristan Rodden, Lucas Smith and Tom McCord.
Gospel Weekend Aug. 15 & 16
Wildwood Acres will sponsor the 21st annual M.D.A. Gospel Weekend Aug. 15 and 16 at 0520W-300N., Hartford City.
Bands include: Ellyn Adney, Common Ground, Masters own, Witnesses of the Light, New Vessels, Rick Evans, Betty Swinson, cortney Flatter, Steve Kellogg, Susan Durovey, Murphys Family, The Promises, Kelly York Family and Betty Jo Armstrong “Minnie Pearl.”
Admission is free. Band will play from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Church services will be held at 8:30 a.m on Sunday. Music will play from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Call 765-766-5112 or 765-348-2100.
LaFontaine Concert series begins Aug. 16
Joe Thomas on the Piano will perform in concert at the LaFontaine Arts Council’s Summer Concert Series on Friday, Aug. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Historic Forks of the Wabash in Huntington.
