What's going on, I mean--UP!

Outdoor cooking classes offered, Aug. 1
The 2009 Cooking Classes and Cook-off will be held on each of the Wabash Reservoirs. Sign up at Salamonie Lake, Aug. 1.
First place winners of each property will compete in the Oct. 24 Champion Cook-Off at J. Edward Roush Lake. The event is open to campers and one-day visitors.
The Cook-Off will be held in the same program area from 2 to 5:30 p.m. All participants/teams need to pay a $10 entrant fee per property; supply all food ingredients, cooking utensils, charcoal and start and use Dutch ovens. All foods are to be prepared on program site. Judging will take place at 6 p.m. with prizes awarded afterwards.Each property's first place team will earn a Dutch oven. Sound of Music presented
July 24-26 at Berne
The Sound of Music will be presented Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 24-26, during this year’s Swiss Days celebration in Berne. Tickets are available from the Berne Chamber office. Call 589-8080.

Cherry Pie Auction July 23
A delicious homemade cherry pie will be made and donated by Helen Witte of Jefferson Twp. and will be auctioned at the 4-H Livestock Auction as part of the Wells County 4-H Foundation Program Thursday, July 23 during the fair. Proceeds will go toward the Wells County 4-H Junior Leader Building Fund. The Wells County 4-H Foundation Committee has set a $2,000 goal to reach this year for the fund. The sale order is: Dairy Feeder, Goat, Poultry, Swine, Rabbit, Beef, 4-H Foundation items, Dairy Beef and Sheep. The auction will begin at 3:30 p.m.
