Block Party Hoe Down Oct. 25
The Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department will host the second Block Party of the year in front of city hall on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. It will be a Hoe Down, so dress in your best country wear. 
There will be music (Stoney Creek Band), dancing (Scatter 8’s square dancers), games, corn hole and food.  There is no fee to attend, but there will be food and refreshments for purchase. 
Available will be root beer floats and apple dumplings from C&E Concessions, sugar corn by Ossian Conservation Club and Texas Tenderloin will be on hand selling tenderloins, corn dogs, french fries and onion petals. 
The 4-H Hurrin’ Harrisons Club, Wells County Boys Scouts and Bluffton High School National Honor Society students will help during the event. 
There will be a photo area for you and your family and friends to take your own pictures.  Profits from this event will go towards the Revitalize Our Rivergreenway project. For more information call 824-6069. 

Go Greenway Glow 5K Oct. 25
After the block party run, walk or cheer on participants in the Go Greenway Glow 5K.  
Grab your glow sticks or purchase some extra that night to take with you down the illuminated River Greenway.  Race registration is $20 and includes a shirt and glow bracelet. South Adams Senior Center Bazaar Oct. 25
Members of the South Adams Senior Center are currently booking vendors for the annual Fall Bazaar. 
The bazaar will take place from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 825 Hendricks St., Berne.  
Cost for tables are $15 for a six foot table and $10 for a round table. Call 260-589-8877 now to reserve a space. 

Gary Dickson benefit Oct. 25
A benefit for Bluffton resident Gary Dickson will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the WalMart parking lot. He will undergo a bone marrow transplant in Michigan very soon.
Sark’s Concessions will be open to raise money for Gary. Sark’s Concessions will donate all products so every purchase made will go directly to Gary and Barb Dickson for housing, transportation, food and medical cost during their extended stay. 
This will be a time to show support and enjoy fair favorites one last time before winter sets in. (Pd. Advt.)

Craft & Vendor Show Oct. 25
The Holiday Craft and Vendor Show will be held at the National Guard Armory at 500 E. Spring in Bluffton on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
Free admission, door prizes and food. Over 30 vendors and crafters. All proceeds go to the Steve Kelly Cancer Relief Foudnation.

Wells libraries Saturday at the movies in November
Moviegoers are encouraged to bring their pillows and snacks to the Saturday afternoon free movies presented at the Wells County Public Library in Bluffton and the Saturday morning ones at the Ossian Branch.
In Bluffton “Frozen” will be shown on Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. and on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. it will be “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”
In Ossian the dates are Nov. 1 for “Your Dragon 2: at 10 a.m. and “Planes: Fire & Rescue” on Dec. 6, also at 10 a.m.
Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Pop con is served at the Bluffton site.

Apple dumpling fundraiser
The Zanesville Lions are having an apple dumpling fundraiser. The cost is $2 each with caramel topping. They are ready to eat, freeze, or microwave. They will be on sale until Nov. 20 or sold out. Orders may will be accepted at County Line Pizza, Davis Restaurant, or by calling 638-4327.

Holiday, Craft and Farmer’s Market Nov. 1
Members of Blackford County Extension Homemakers will sponsor the annual Holiday and Craft Bazaar and Farmer’s Market Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Blackford County 4-H Building in Hartford City. Anyone interested in booth space can all 765-348-3213 by Oct. 1 to request an application.

Mandy Barnett at Portland Nov. 1
Singer Mandy Barnett will be performing on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Hall-Moser Theatre at Arts Place in Portland at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets in advance are $20 for adults and $10 for students and may be arranged for by calling 260-726-4809 or online at www.artsland.org Admission at the door is $23 for adults and $11.50 for students.
Barnett is a frequent guest on the Grand Ole Opry, a live radio program featuring country music and as a teenager starred as country music legend Patsy Cline in the stage show “Always.”

Turkey Shoot Nov. 2
The Willshire Sportsman’s Club will be holding a Turkey Shoot Sunday, Nov. 2 starting at noon. It will be held on the club grounds located two miles east of Willshire, Ohio on State Route 81.
Only 12 gauge shotguns will be permitted and a shell will be furnished. Youth shoots for children, aged 16 and under will be held. Only 20 gauge shotguns will be permitted for the youth shoots and shells will be furnished.
A lunch stand will be available. Public is welcome.

Book, Postcard, Political and Paper Show  Nov. 2
A Book, Postcard, Political and Paper Show will be held Sunday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Beech Grove High School gym at 5330 Hornet Ave., Beech Grove (Indiana Ext. 52 (Emerson Ave.) I-465.
There will be rare books, autographed books, cookbooks, general reading books, thousands of postcards by topics, movie posters and magazines.
