Create a holiday newsletter Nov. 18
Learn how to use Microsoft Word to create easy and beautiful Christmas newsletters to send to your family and friends Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wells County Public Library. Beginners are welcome but you should have basic knowledge of MS Word to get the most out of this class. The class fee is $5, due when registering. Class size is limited so sign up at the library, by calling 260-824-1612 or online at www.wellscolibrary.org.

Haitian Women fundraiser Nov. 20 and Nov. 21 at
Kingdom Academy
Support Haitian women by purchasing handmade embroidered and crocheted items.
Centre Lumiere, a self-help program for Haitian women, will offer table linens, purses, hats, scarves, sweaters, hotpads, dishtowels and greeting cards Friday, Nov. 20 from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kingdom Academy, east of Bluffton on State Road 124. All proceeds are returned to the Centre. The event is sponsored by women from Apostolic Christian Church. Call Melanie Gerber at 824-5540 or Jacki Kershner at 565-3506.
Chinese Calligraphy and Erhu Music
Nov. 22
Chinese Calligraphy and Erhu Music will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at the Arts Commerce and Visitors Centre Gallery.
Dr. Yang will demonstrate his passion for the ancient art of calligraphy which he characterizes as a performance that leaves a visible record. Later he will explain the erhu instrument (a two-string box often called “Chinese violin”) and will offer its delicate, heart-stirring music for the audience to enjoy.

Free community Thanksgiving meal Nov. 23 at Ossian
Living Faith Missionary Church, Ossian Presbyterian church, St. Mark Lutheran Church, Ossian Nazarene and United Methodist Church of Ossian will sponsor a free Community Thanksgiving meal Monday, Nov. 23 at the United Methodist Church of Ossian from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Members will serve turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert.
Special music will be provided by Ked Moser. Donations will be accepted and will support the local churches in their community outreach programs.
The meal is free and open to the entire community.
There will be only 400 meals prepared for this event.

Make & Take folded gift box class Nov. 23
Learn to create four unique, beautiful boxes out of folded heavy paper on Monday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wells County Public Library.
This free class for adults is just in time for Thanksgiving fun and the boxes are perfect for holiday gift-giving.
The library furnishes the templates, paper, punches and decorative scissors. You bring straight scissors, double-sided tape and your own small decorations (ribbons, pine cones, etc). Adults may bring a child to work together as a team. Instructor is Deb Perry.
