Early bird breakfast in Montpelier Nov. 8
American Legion Post 156 in Montpelier will sponsor the 2010 membership Early Bird Breakfast Sunday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All members with paid 2010 cards eat for free.

St. Aloysius Euchre Tournament Nov. 14
St. Aloysius Catholic Church is having a euchre tournament on Nov 14 at 7 p.m. in the school basement. Entry fee is $5. Doors will open at 6:30. Food and beverages available for free will offering. Call Tom Wyss at 639-6488 or Bob Renninger at 638-4882.

Ham and bean
supper Nov. 14
The Poneto Community Club will be having a Ham and Bean Supper on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 4:30 to7 p.m. at the Poneto Fire House. The menu will include: ham and bean soup, chicken and noodle soup, cornbread, hot dogs, homemade pies and cakes, punch and coffee. A freewill donation will be accepted. The public is welcome. Poneto Community Club is a nonprofit organization that sponsors Boy Scout Troop 145 and supports the Poneto Volunteer Firemen.

Fall Fun Day Nov. 14
Join us in the city gym on Nov 14 for Fall Fun Day from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for the movie Bedtime Stories on the big screen in the City Gym. Bring your own blankets and popcorn. FREE EVENT. For more information call 824-6069.

Walking exercise held at Ossian UM Church
Ossian United Methodist Church will be open for walking exercise from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Public is welcome.

BOY SCOUTS OF
HUNTINGTON
Josh’s Troop #129 from Huntington are all walking around Markle on Nov. 7 from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. to collect food for Markle’s Food Pantry. This is one way they are educating the boys for love of mankind first hand. So be prepared to give out the groceries etc. to show your love also.
