Learn to create a holiday newsletter using Microsoft Word
Learn how to use Microsoft Word to create easy and beautiful Christmas newsletters to send to your family and friends on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wells County Public Library. Instructor Joe Wietelman will walk you through set up, adding photos and clip art, beautiful fonts and color. Feel free to bring a photo on a CD or flash drive to use and to save your finished newsletter. Beginners are welcome but you should have basic knowledge of MS Word to get the most out of this class. Make & Take folded gift box class at the library
Learn to create four unique, beautiful boxes out of folded heavy paper on Monday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wells County Public Library. This free class for adults is just in time for Thanksgiving fun and the boxes are perfect for holiday gift-giving. The library furnishes the templates, paper, punches and decorative scissors. You bring straight scissors, double-sided tape and your own small decorations (ribbons, pine cones, etc). Adults may bring a child to work together as a team. Instructor is Deb Perry. Plan your own Gaming Day with more than 150 new CD-Roms
National Gaming Day is Saturday, Nov. 14 and you can plan a fun celebration with new CD-Rom games from the Wells County Public Library. The library recently updated the CD-Rom game collection by adding more than 150 new games to play on your home computer. The CD-Rom collection now totals about 500 fun and educational games rated for ages pre-school to adult.
Take a look at just a few of the new games:
Prince of Persia, Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard, John Deere: Welcome to MerriWeather Farm, Armed & Dangerous, Monster Jam, Meet Blue’s Baby Brother, Tonka Monster Trucks, Frogger, Law & Order: Justice Served, Crazy Chicken Farm, etc.
