Fish & Chicken Strips Dinner Aug. 8
A Fish and Chicken Strips Dinner will be held Saturday, Aug. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wells County 4-H Park, Bluffton. Come out to Wheels of Yesteryear and enjoy an All You Can Eat meal of fish & chicken sponsored by the Wells Co. Extension Homemakers!

Coles Concert Aug. 9
Roger and Lisa Coles will present a free concert Sunday, Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at C&C Bible Fellowship.
All ages are welcome to attend the event. Concessions will be available. C&C is located at 4383S., 150E., Berne. Call 260-589-9022.

Ice Cream Social Aug. 9
The youth at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, located at 4504W., 300N., will host their annual Ice Cream Social Sunday, Aug. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Activity Center. There will be homemade ice cream, homemade pies, hot dogs, sandwiches and more. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds will go to benefit the youth ministry.

MDA fundraiser
Aug. 11
East of Chicago, Ossian, will be hosting this fundraising event Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. A portion of meals sold and any tips will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy Association. “Annual Stride and Ride”, funds raised will go to serve 16 families in Wells County.

4-H Fair Review Aug. 13
The 4-H Fair Review will be held Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Wells County 4-H Community Center
Meeting for 4-H Association, Council, Leaders and Volunteers to evaluate the 2009 4-H Fair.

Routine Malaise to perform Aug. 14
Local band Routine Malaise (formerly Blues Light Special) with special guests Tax Brandywine will perform a benefit concert for the Arts Place MusicWorks program on Friday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at 131 East Walnut Street, Portland.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
