Creative Happenings

Hours: Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday until 7 p.m. or by arrangement. 

IN THE BALENTINE GALLERY

Tri Kappa High School Art Show, through May 20, and Annual Children’s Art Exhibit through May 7. No admission charge to view the exhibits. 

Coming June 1-July 12, Visages of the Original Peoples, photographs of Native Americans in a touring exhibit from Indiana University’s Mathers Museum, in coordination with the PBS documentary, “We Shall Remain.”

SCHOOL OF BALLET

BALLET CAMP—July 20-24. Two sessions daily instructed by Jeni Meeks: for new students from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., $35 and refresher for currently enrolled students at 10:30 to noon, $45.

REGULAR CLASSES—will recommence in September. Registrations welcome! Ask for a registration packet to be mailed in August.

‘GODSPELL’—June 12-14, Life Auditorium with Wells Community Theater. Tickets: Patrons $30 and others at $10, $12 & $16.

PATRIOTIC POPS CONCERT—Thursday, June 25, Ouabache State Park, 7 p.m., free. (Park entrance fee applies.)

KEHOE CONCERTS—Sundays from July 12 through Aug. 30, 7 p.m., free, JBG’s Ice Cream available for purchase. Spike and the Bulldogs will get the new season rolling and rocking on July 12.

SUMMER ARTS ACADEMY—June 22-26, Norwell High School. Discover the art world!

DRAWING CAMP—Aug. 3-7. Work with edges, spaces, relationships, lights ad shadows, Gestalt.

BATIK—June 29, July 1-2, kids classes 1 to 3 p.m. and adults 6 to 8 p.m., also July 20, 22, 23 with instructor Katie Vanderkolk.

CULINARY ARTISTS—Thursday, May 21, visit an Amish Greenhouse in Monroe and eat at the Brick House on Jackson. Call to reserve a spot. Then hop on the taste tour to the Brick House Grill in downtown Huntington on June 18.
