Be the next Coppolla or Tarantino

Create a great video promoting the Wells County Public Library and enter to win a $100 gift card from Best Buy or a certificate from a local restaurant. The contest is part of the library’s Summer Reading Program activities. “Be creative @ your library - Video Contest” is open to adults and teens ages 12 and up.
The rules are simple. Film a one to three minute video that shows the library as an exciting place for all ages. Be creative. Focus on the Summer Reading Program theme of “Be creative @ your library” or use a broader vision. There are many public library videos online to study that might spark your imagination.
“We are so excited about this contest,” Deb Perry, community relations manager at the library, said. “It’s a fun way for people to show off their creativity, which is exactly what the theme of the Summer Reading Program is all about.”
The contest is open to Wells County residents with a valid library card. They can work alone or as a team. Only one $100 Best Buy gift card will be presented to the winning entry. Two runner-up videos will each receive a local restaurant gift certificate.
Entry deadline: July 1, 2009
A panel of judges will view all the videos and select the winners. The top five winners will be shown on the library’s big screen on Friday, July 10 beginning at 5 p.m. Winners will be announced at 5:45 p.m. Friends, family and the public are all invited for this fun viewing and celebration of the videos.

Mission E: Exploring Engineering and Architecture will be available to view until May 31 at Science Central.
