What's Up

Poetry due by May 10:
A $1,000 grand prize is being offered in a poetry contest sponsored by Rainbow Fine Arts.

Poems of 21 lines or fewer on any subject and in any style will be judged by the contest director, Dr. Jack Carroll. The contest is free to enter and open to poets of any age. Entries must be received by May 10 and may be submitted to Free Poetry Contest, 7308 Heritage Dr., Mt. Vernon, IN 47620 or at www.rainbowpoets.com.

Those sending entries should include their names and addresses on the same page as the poem. For a winner's list please enclose a self-addressed and stamped envelope.

Church fellowship supper May 11:
The Zanesville Community Church of God fellowship supper at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, will feature sloppy joes, salads and desserts for a freewill donation. Call pastor Steve Whetstone at 452-8601 or Lois at 227-1732.

Roadrunners to visit Boggstown May 11:
Join the Warren RoadRunners for live entertainment featuring music from the 1900s through the 1960s at the Boggstown Cabaret Wednesday, May 11. Deadline to sign up is May 2. Contact Colleen Franklin at (260) 414-0223 for details. All trips leave from the Warren Church of Christ parking lot at 302 N. Wayne St.

Jay Flood Relief Benefit May 13:
A flood relief fund benefit tribute show and silent auction for Jay County will be held at Bearcreek Farms May 13, featuring a Elvis tribute show. A silent auction will kick off the event when doors open at 6 p.m. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Bearcreek Farms Good Times Theatre.
