SW Community Church Garage Sale May 7 & 8
Members of Southern Wells Communty Church will sponsor a garage sale Friday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, May 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 4-H Quonset Hut at the Wells County 4-H Park in Bluffton.

Dinner reservations needed for Steve Kelly benefit
Dinner reservations and carry-out requests are needed for the Steve Kelly Benefit dinner Saturday, May 15 by calling the Bluffton Elks Lodge at 824-2824 as soon as possible so enough meat can be ordered. There will also be carry-outs available that night. Cost is $12 each. Included will be 1” smoked pork chop and sides. The lodge is located at 213 S. Main Street, Bluffton.
In addition to the events on May 15, there are people in the community getting together for a Maintenance Day at the Steve Kelly home Saturday, May 8. Anyone interested in volunteering can call 260-410-9257 for more information.
Those interested in contributing monetary donations may do so by sending checks made payable to Steve Kelly to Appliance One at 619 N. Main Street, Bluffton, IN 46714.

Loblolly Marsh Tours available first
Saturdays of month
On the first Saturday of each month from May through September come hike the nature trails of the Loblolly Marsh Wetland Preserve and discover the native plants, flowers and animals that lurk in its muddy waters.
Now Loblolly Marsh Tours are available to the public on the first Saturday of every month from May through September. Amateur naturalists will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Limberlost Cabin, 200 E. 6th St. Geneva, Ind., right along U.S. 27 for orientation. Tours will then head to the Loblolly Marsh from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for special guided hikes with Indiana Department of Natural Resources staff. Admission is $2 per person.

Register soon for Kid's Fishing Derbies
Children ages two to 14 are invited to participate in one of the Fishing Derbies at the three Upper Wabash Reservoirs June 5 during the statewide Free Fishing Weekend. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with fishing from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Award ceremonies will follow.Children should pre-register. Each participating child will go home with a prize. There are grand prizes for the largest fish caught and prizes for each of the three age categories.
Call 260-468-2127 to register. The standard entrance $4-$5 fee will be in effect when the gatehouse is open.

Kids plant flower for mom for free at library May 8
The Master Gardener's will sponsor a project at the Bluffton-Wells County Library on Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. until noon.
Children ages three thru 12 may come to the Library, decorate a flower pot and plant a flower to take home to their Mom for Mother's Day. Please call the library to register for this free program as there will be a limit of 35 children to participate in the project.

SW Sports Physicals May 12
On Wednesday, May 12 the Athletic Department will hold sports physicals in the Raiderdome Gym from 4:30-7 p.m.
Dr. John Wilson and Dr. Tammy Dunmoyer will be performing the physical for the athletes. This is open to all current and future Southern Wells students grades five throuh 11. The cost is $15 each or $40 for a family.
