The opportunity will include 10 weeks of musical and voice instruction for students in grades 3-8.
This spring in Portland a new Community Band will meet weekly from late May through the end of June and culminate in a performance on July 4. For the first time, Arts Place will also offer violin instruction in Ohio. Ben Leybovich of the Lima Symphony Orchestra will travel to Wright State University once a week to instruct students ages 4 and up.
Group lessons are offered in Portland for Stateline Singers youth choir, Eastern Breeze Flute Ensemble, Distant Thunder and Distant Rumble Percussion Ensembles, Brassissimo! brass ensemble, Brown Paper Sax saxophone ensemble, East Walnut Street Strings, and Vox Altus Adult Choir.
