BALENTINE GALLERY HOURS—Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Dec. 25 & Jan.1). Other hours by appointment.

IN THE BALENTINE GALLERY
Exhibit through Feb. 26—“Suspended: works of Sayaka Ganz, Angela Leed and Adam Parsons” See a colony of swimming penguins and other creatures sculpted from reclaimed objects, detailed pastel works and abstract paintings to spark your winter.
Exhibit March 1-April 15—Photography of Deb Perry exhibiting a narrated show “Un-Scenes” of hidden places in Wells County. Listen to the story of these unique sites with the photojournalist at a dessert reception Sunday, March 14 at 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the gallery
Exhibit of Wells County student artwork April 20-May 22—sponsored by Bluffton Tri Kappa, reception Sunday, April 18 at 2 to 3:30 p.m.

CAC SCHOOL OF BALLET
Now in session and enrolling a new “Creative Expressions” class on six Tuesdays, Feb. 2-March 9 with Jeni Meeks at 5-5:30 p.m. for beginners and 5:30-6 p.m. for returning students. Wear comfortable clothing and nonskid shoes. $48
Mark 2010 calendars for “Cinderella” performance May 2 at Life Auditorium at 2:30 p.m.
Ballet Guild will meet Thurs. Feb. 18 at 5 p.m.
“Yoga for Balance” with Susy Jones Monday evenings in Jan and Feb. Registrations sold out.

Arts Day at the State House Jan. 26—Showcase artistic talent in the rotunda and recharge the commitment of state legislators in backing the arts for the health of our creative community
“Iran Then and Now” Thurs. Feb. 11 with Buddy Hatton, sponsored by National Oil and Gas Co., part of Travel Adventure Series at 7:00 to 9 p.m. $6 adult/$3 student.
Valentine’s Day dinner concert — Thurs. Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. $25 per guest for dinner and concert. Reservations can be paid online at www.wellscocreativearts.com Requires reservation by Feb. 9. (Tables of 8 may be reserved.) Part of CAC’s Series on the Ouabache, sponsored by General Manufacturing Co.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Photo Assessment workshop—with photojournalist Cathie Rowand of the Journal Gazetteat 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28. $5 per guest - Bring a photo in print or on laptop. If there is interest, the CAC will form a photographer’s forum to meet monthly in 2010, often free of charge, sometimes with a small fee.
