Auditions for ‘Alice’ at Pulse Opera House

Auditions for the first show of the 2010 season, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” at the Pulse Opera House in Warren will be held on Monday, Jan. 11, at 7:30 p.m.
Adapted by Deborah Lynn Frockt, this version comes from the Seattle Repertoire Theatre. There are roles for six actors and four puppeteers/dressers. (The dressers will help with costume changes.) The roles can be played by adults or children (nine years old and up) and are not gender specific.
All actors will play multiple roles. Actor # 1: Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat, Gryphon, White Knight, King. Actor #2: Lory, Daisy, Duchess, Mock Turtle, Dormouse. Actor #3: Mouse, Tiger Lily, Tweedledum, Mad Hatter, Humpty Dumpty, Knave. Actor # 4: Painter, White Rabbit, Dodo, Royal Painter. Actor #5: Duck, Rose Cook, Tweedledee, March Hare, Queen. Actor # 6: Alice.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script; Those auditioning should be familiar with the books Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Rehearsals start on Jan. 18, ending in performances March 12-27. Those auditioning should be prepared to take a day off work or school for school shows.
