Free Ice Cream Social & Music Sept. 27
The Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion will sponsor a free Ice Cream Social for seniors age 55 and older at the Wellness Pavilion at 1201 Emmental Drive in Berne on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 2-4 p.m. Music will be provided by Gabe Bailey. 
Gabe Bailey, an eighth grader at South Adams Middle School, began performing publicly at the 2013 Swiss Days Berne’s Got Talent. Since winning that, at age 11, he has been busy playing with the First Mennonite Worship band and performing in a number of different venues.

Swiss Stitchers Quilt Guild to meet Sept. 28
Swiss Stitchers will meet Sept.  28 at 7 p.m. in the Social Corner. Gail Kuhn will be the presenter. Friends and show and tell are expected.
 Instead of a bus trip this year the group will meet at the Berne Senior Center on Oct. 3 at 8:30 a.m. till the last one goes home, for a day of sewing and fellowship. Kathy Diveley will teach memeber how to piece a quilt. Supplies will be: Layer cake or 30 to 40   -10” squares from your stash; Background or zinger fabric( one color) 2.5 yards;(if using for border would get 3 yards); ( two colors)1.25 X 2  (1.5 each if using as border also); coordinating fabric for large border  if desired(2 yards); a ruler long enough to cut the 10” square at an angle; machine and basic quilting supplies.
 Also, those attending  should bring a dish to share and a snack.
There is no cost to attend for those who helped at the quilt show. If you want to attend and did not help at the show the cost is $10.

Cancer Services fundraiser Oct. 2 at FWMA
Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana will present an auction and fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
There will be a live art auction, appetizers, music to listen to and tours of the current exhibits. The doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is $25.
Artists providing artwork will include Marcy Aldridge Adams, Edward Alvarez, Sara Auman Smith, Paul Demaree, Daniel Dienelt, Alexandra Hall, Kristy Jo Beber, Julie Meek, Kathy Minnich, Karen Moriarty, Terry Ratliff, Jerry Seabolt, Vaun Smith, Sommer Starks, Rebecca Stockert, Sarah Thompson and Theresa Thompson.
