Toddler Time begins Oct. 1
The Bluffton Parks Department’s Toddler Time in the city gym will begin Thursday, Oct. 1 through March 31, 2016.
The Bluffton City Gym will be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon for people to bring their tots to burn off some energy.
This is a free drop in program that will give young children a chance to play with others their age in a large open space. Balls will be made available in the storage closet at the East end of the gym when the children arrive.
Please note that this is not a staff facilitated event and parents are responsible for their children.
The first Tuesday of each month the Parks Department will offer a special tour or activity.
Sign in on the wooden door each visit and turn off the gym lights if you are the last to leave. For more information call 824-6069.
Artswalk Oct. 1
in Muncie 5 to 9
An evening of art, food, performance and a Sesquicentennial Celebration will be held in downtown Muncie on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Muncie’s own Jennie Devoe will perform on the Canan Commons Stage at 7 p.m. At the conclusion of her set at 8:30 p.m. a spectacular lighted interactive display will be launched. It will be the coernerstone of Muncie’s celebration of its 150th birthday. For more information check downtownmuncie.org/a.
Health Fair in Berne Oct. 2
A wellness fair sponsored by the Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion and open to the public, will take place at on Friday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Available will be a variety of free assessments including blood pressure checks, chair massages, hand grip strength tests, and hearing screenings, and lipid profile checks. Bluffton Regional Medical Center will be offer Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (CMP) test for $25, Thyroid Panel (including TSH and Free T4) for $20, Hemogram for $15, Free Lipid Profile and Free Prostate Specific Antigen tests. Fasting is required for all tests expect for the Hemogram. Flu shots will be provided by Walgreens Pharmacy of Bluffton for a nominal fee.
Those attending may participate in bingo during the wellness fair at 11 a.m. for a chance to win one of several donated prizes.

Exhibits at FW’s Artworks open Oct. 2-Dec. 6
“Four Seasons of a Persian Night,” abstracts by Nazar Harran, will be featured at the Artworks Galleria of Fine Art in Fort Wayne’s Jefferson Pointe from Oct. 2 through Dec. 6.
A reception for the artist will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. Live classical guitar music will be proved by Alex Mendez.
American Landscapes” will feature the work of Terry Pulley, Randall Scott Harden, Beth Forst, Penny French-Deal, Karen Moriarty, Nazar Harran, Lauren Brady, Tom Kelly and Rebecca Justice-Schaab from Oct. 2 to Dec. 6. Dan’s Fish Fry fundraiser Oct. 3
Jericho will sponsor a “Dan’s All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry and Chicken Strips” Fundraiser at the school (behind Walgreen’s) on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets prices are $10 for adults, $6.50 for those ages 6-12 and free for children age five and younger. Tickets are available at Jericho or from students and board members.
