Bluffton Farmer’s Market open
The Farmer’s Market is open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Current features include sweetcorn, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, beans, peaches, flowers, fresh baked goods, BBQ sauce, woodworking products, handmade crafts, and more. Glass and Palette Class Sept. 19
Arts Place, Portland Center, will offer a Glass and Palette class “Paint Like Van Gogh” with Avon Waters on Saturday, Sept. 19 from noon to 3 p.m. The Portland Center of Arts Place is located at 131 East Walnut Street.
The cost is $30 and includes all painting materials and 1 glass of wine. Additional glasses of wine will be available for purchase. Reservations are required and space is limited. 
For more information or to make a reservation call 260-726-4809. Fall hours of operation begin Monday, Aug. 24. the hours are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 
This class is for all skill levels. Teaching artist Avon Waters will lead students through recreating one of Van Gogh’s paintings. Waters is an artist from Kokomo, Indiana. 

Pumpkin Festival at Lincoln Ridge Sept. 19-20
the 28th annual Pumpkin Festival at Lincoln Ridge will be held over seven weekends beginning with Apple Harvest Days on the weekend of Sept. 19 and 20.
Offered will be wagon rides, a maze to explore and a variety of games. There also is a zip line and races. Festival type food also will be available.
Admission is $8.50 with children 3 and younger free. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.
Lincoln Ridge is located just off of US 30, 25 miles east of Fort Wayne at 6588 Pollock Rd. in Convoy, Ohio. More information at www.lincolncandleco.com or at 419-749-4224.

Heartland in concert Sept. 20
The singers of Heartland Sings are preparing a light-centric program: “Light Eternal: Mozart Requiem & More,” which includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s choral masterpiece, the “Requiem Mass in D minor, K. 626.” This work is the centerpiece of an afternoon of classical and contemporary masterworks that will be presented at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20 at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry St. in Fort Wayne. Tickets are $20 general admission.
Heartland Sings is a professional, non-profit vocal production company based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Founded by Nance in 1997, Heartland has since grown into a broad-based vocal arts organization.

Fish & tenderloin dinner Sept. 23
Dan’s all you can eat fish and tenderloin dinner will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the family fellowship center of the Ossian United Methodist Church. Dinner prices are $8.75 for adults, $5 for youth ages 6-12, and free for children five and under. Call 260-622-4326 for tickets or pay at the door. Both dine in and carry out are available. Carry out will not be all you can eat. The church is located at 201 W. Mill St.

Senior Exploration begins Sept. 23
The Bluffton Parks Department is offering a five-week program designed for adults who are interested in continued learning and social interaction. It will be held on  Mondays starting Sept. 28 through Oct 26. There is a one-time fee of $12 due with registration by Sept. 23. It will be held at the Boys and Girls Club at 1410 Wayne Street. 
There will be a 10 a.m. class and an 11 a.m. class. Those participating will select one class per hour to attend all five weeks.

BHS Class of 1950 to meet Sept. 23
Members of the Bluffton High School Class of 1950 will hold their 65th reunion during Street Fair week on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Corner Depot Restaurant at noon.

Local artists sought for Art Bazaar Sept. 26
The Parks Department is looking for local artists to participate in the annual Art Bazaar on Saturday Sept. 26 during Street Fair Week. 
Cost is $10 per booth due the day of the event. Anyone interested must call and reserve a spot at 824-6069 or e-mail us at parks@ci.bluffton.in.us.
Past items have include jewelry, paintings, hair bows, neck ties, scarves, purses, quilted, knitted and crocheted items, homemade cards and signs, wooden rocking horses and toys, tile coasters, slip covers, paintings, gourd bird houses, rugs and more! 

Admission for shopping is FREE. Hours are from noon to 6 p.m. To register an art booth call 824-6069.
