Exhibits at FW’s Artworks open Oct. 2-Dec. 6

“Four Seasons of a Persian Night,” abstracts by Nazar Harran, will be featured at the Artworks Galleria of Fine Art in Fort Wayne’s Jefferson Pointe from Oct. 2 through Dec. 6.

A reception for the artist will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. Live classical guitar music will be proved by Alex Mendez.

American Landscapes” will feature the work of Terry Pulley, Randall Scott Harden, Beth Forst, Penny French-Deal, Karen Moriarty, Nazar Harran, Lauren Brady, Tom Kelly and Rebecca Justice-Schaab from Oct. 2 to Dec. 6.

Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., closed Mondays. More info  www.ArtworkstheGalleria.com

  

Fish Fry Oct. 3 at Twin Bridges

Twin Bridge Conservation Club in Mt. Zion will sponsor a Fish Fry Saturday, Oct. 3 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The meal will include fish, chicken or tenderloin. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for

children. Those under age five are free. Proceeds will go to the repair and maintenance of the building. For more information call 375-2237.

Renaissance in Roanoke Oct. 10

The 8th Annual Renaissance in Roanoke will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The event features children’s activities, music, Plein Air art competition, juried art work and food vendors.  For an application to become a juried artist check out http://www.renaissanceinroanoke.org/artists for a full application. The day is sponsored by the Roanoke Arts Council.

Single show tickets for FW Embassy series begins in October

Single tickets are available for the Broadway at the Embassy 2015-2016 series of programs.

The line-up includes: Illusionists (Live from Broadway)—Sunday, Oct. 11; Ragtime (musical)—Thursday, Nov. 5; Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer The Musical—Wednesday, Dec. 16; 42nd Street (musical)—Wednesday, Feb. 24; Annie (musical)—Friday, April 8; and Bullets Over Broadway the Musical—Friday, May 6.

Weekday Walking program to begin Oct. 15

Bluffton Parks Department Weekday will begin the Walking Program Monday through Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. on October 15. 

Participants can enter the glass door on the West side of the building and sign in on the wooden door each day you attend. If you are the last to leave the gym please turn off the light in the south west corner of the gym. Call 824-6069.
