SW Community Church to offer free lunch July 1
Southern Wells Community Church will serve a free lunch Wednesday, July 1, from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the corner of Main Street and Ind. 18 in Montpelier. The meal will include free sandwiches, chips and drinks. If it is raining at 11:30 a.m. the lunch will be cancelled. For more information, call 765-728-2154. No donations.

Whitewater Valley Railroad runs throughout the year
The Whitewater Valley Railroad, an authentic, historic train, offers recreational train excursions and events throughout the year.
Established in 1972, the railroad is a nonprofit 501c3 organization. It is an operating railroad museum dedicated to the preservations of an historical branch line railroad, the restoration of railroad equipment and to the conduct of railroad educational programs. It is operated by trained volunteers. All proceeds are used to further the organization’s mission.

Democrat Golf Outing June 27
The Wells County Democrats will sponsor their annual golf outing Saturday, June 27, at Green Valley Golf Course. It will be an 18-hole Florida Scramble format. Registration will be at 7:30 a.m. Tee off is at 8 a.m. Cost is $50 per person or $200 per team and includes prizes, cart and lunch (at noon). For more information call 824-2995 or 273-0972.

Foam Party June 29 at Splash Pad
Bluffton Parks and Recreation will sponsor a Foam Party for the whole family on Monday, June 29 starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Splash Pad in Bluffton.
Those attending should bring a towel and wear their swimsuit to the Splash Pad on the corner of Washington and Bennett Street. 
This is a free, drop-in event. Don’t forget the camera. For more information call 824-6069.

Giant Slip & Slide June 30
The Parks and Recreation invite the public to enjoy some slippery fun at Lancaster Park (across from Lancaster Elementary School) Tuesday, June 30 from 2 to 3 p.m. 
The Parks Department will cover an area of the sledding hill with thick plastic and a soapy solution. Be sure to wear a swim suit and bring a towel. Inflatables are recommended for extra comfort. 
Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before to sign the waiver. This is a free event. For more information call 824-6069.

Tennis spots still available
There is still time to sign up for free tennis lessons. Lessons are held at the Washington Park tennis courts, Monday through Friday from June 8 to July 17, weather permitting. 

Parents will need to fill out a registration form the first day the child attends. Lessons that are cancelled due to weather will be posted on the Facebook page of Bluffton Parks. For more information call 824-6069.
