Boot Camp Registration has begun
Would you like your youngster to learn a little discipline and respect? Send them to the Bluffton Police Department Boot Camp.  Boot camp will be instructed by officers of the Bluffton Police Department and assisted by the Bluffton Parks Department.
Camp is Monday through Friday, July 20 to July 24 at the Wells County 4-H Community Center from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. daily and is open to any Wells County girl or boy who has completed fourth through sixth grade.  Class size is limited to 24 Cost is $10 per person. Soup ‘n Sandwich lunch June 13 at Monroe
The Monroe United Brethren Women’s Missionary Fellowship will sponsor a Soup ‘n Sandwich Lunch on Saturday, June 13, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.  The church is located in Monroe at 205 S. Adams Street.
Lunch will consist of chili, chicken noodle and cheeseburger soup, sloppy jo’s, hot dogs and chili dogs; nachos; homemade pies and cakes and drinks. All proceeds go for sending kids to church camp and/or mission projects.  Also, maps for the community garage sales taking place that day will be available at the church.

Domestic church to host Singing Auctioneer June 14
The public is invited to hear The Singing Auctioneer, Dane Bailey at the Domestic Church of Christ on Sunday, June 14 at 4 p.m.
The Domestic Church is located at 7063E 900S-90, Geneva. (This is in Wells County east of the intersection of county roads 700E and 900S, or 3 1/2 miles due east from Petroleum on DR 900S.  A picnic lunch will follow the concert.

Embassy’s organ back home for June 14 concert
After a 10-month console restoration project, the Grande Page Pipe organ is scheduled to be back on June 4, on the Fort Wayne’s Embassy stage just in time for a Sunday, June 14th annual Buddy Nolan Tribute Concert. The organ left Fort Wayne last October for the restoration work in Indianapolis at Carlton Smith Pipe Organ Restorations. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children, now on sale through ticketmaster, at 800-745-3000 or at the Embassy box office.

Haystack Luncheon June 14
The Haystack Luncheon will be held on Sunday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Sweitzer Barn at Swiss Heritage Village and Museum at 1200 Swiss Way in Berne. 
Entertainment during the luncheon will be provided by the Harmony String Band.
The traditional haystack lunch is composed of Fritos, Tortilla chips and rice, topped with taco-seasoned meat, beans, onions, grated cheddar cheese, in combination with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives and peppers, garnished with sour cream and Salsa. Dessert will be the old fashioned Swiss dish Strawberry Sturm.
Donations for the meal will be accepted at the door. Swiss Heritage Society, a not-for-profit organization, will dedicate the proceeds to installation of the new bathrooms in the Sweitzer Barn. 
There will be no entry fee to the grounds.

Friday nites live at Jefferson Pointe

Every Friday evening through Aug. 28 a free concert will be presented from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beside the Courtyard Fountain at Fort Wayne’s Jefferson Pointe. June concerts will include: June 12—Sugar Shot

Arts in the Parks Classes begin June 15
Arts in the Parks classes wll begin the week of June 15 in St. Marys, Minster, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Coldwater, Celina, Geneva, Berne, Hartford City, Pennville, Montpelier, Dunkirk, and Portland. 
For a complete list of classes view the brochure online at www.artsland.org. Registration forms will be accepted through July. Walk-ins are accepted if there is enough space available for that class. 
The cost of each class is $5. A student can take 4 or more classes for $20. Scholarships are available. Kimberly Anderson, Visual Arts Director says there is a great variety of classes-something for anyone.
