Angie Chan Ramirez recital June 23
The Portland Center of Arts Place will present Angie Chan Ramirez in recital on Tuesday evening, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. Angie Chan started to play piano at the age of 19 in her home country Costa Rica. She started her music studies with Dr. Alexandr Sklioutovsky, the current director of the Instituto Superior de Artes, and The National University of Costa Rica. Herb’s Garden Walk June 28
Herbs’ Friends Herb Club will host a Garden Walk Sunday, June 28 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. (rain or shine). There will be seven participating gardens located in and around Decatur. Advance tickets and maps are being sold at: Farmer’s Market every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m.; at Rural King on Tuesday, June 16 from 9 to 11 a.m.; or on the day of the walk at the Adams County Historical Museum. Iron Kids Triathlon registration deadline is July 6
The deadling to register for the Bluffton Parks and Recreation Iron Kids Triathlon is July 6, 2015. The event will be held July 18. Forms can be printed from the city’s website at http://www.blufftonindiana.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/2015-Ironkid-Triathlon-form.pdf and mailed to the park office at 128 E Market St. Bluffton, Indiana 46714.
A triathlon is a swimming, bicycling, and running competition. This event is for children age 5-12. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Race time is set to start at 8 a.m. sharp on Saturday July 18. Cost is $15 and includes a t-shirt, finishing medal, snacks, and trophies to the top three in each age group and gender.
