Bluffton Farmer’s Market open
The Farmer’s Market is open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Current features include vegetable and flower garden plants,  spinach, rhubarb, , fresh strawberries and other fruits,  flowers, fresh baked goods, woodworking products, handmade crafts, kettle corn, and more. Wet Wacky Wednesday June 17
The pool will be open for Wet Wacky Wednesday evening family swim every Wednesday during the pool season. Pool hours are from 6:30-8 p.m. Cost is $1.50 per person over age five. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Follow us on facebook at Bluffton Parks for any weather related cancellations.
NEW THIS YEAR: The pool now has log rolling equipment. For more information call 824-6069.

Free tennis lessons offered
Free tennis lessons are held at the Washington Park tennis courts, Monday through Friday from June 8 to July 17, weather permitting. Parents will need to fill out a registration form the first day the child attends. 
Lessons that are cancelled due to weather will be posted on the Facebook page of Bluffton Parks. For more information call 824-6069. Class Times are as follows:
9:15 a.m.-10 a.m., 4 years to Pre-K (Mondays only)
9:15 a.m.-10 a.m., grades kindergarden-second grade (Tuesdays and Thursdays only).
10 a.m.-11 a.m., Grades 3-5.
11 a.m.-noon,  grades 6-7.
Noon-1 p.m., grades 8–11.

Water Aerobics offered June 16-July 30
Enjoy the summer weather and get a great workout at the Wells Community Pool by participating in the Water Aerobic classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. from June 16 to July 30. Cost is $4 per class OR sign up for the entire session for $30. Message or call at 824-6069 to pre-register. 

Five Points Breakfast June 20
Five Points School will sponsor their fifth annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast Saturday, June 20 from 7 to 10 a.m. All proceeds will go to restore and maintain the 1876 one room schoolhouse. A free will offering will be accepted that day. The school is located at 5250-W., 1100-S.-90 in Montpelier.

Star Gazing June 20
Gather at Lancaster Park (across from Lancaster Elementary School) on Saturday, June 20 beginning at 9 p.m. There will be a variety of large telescopes to view Saturn, Venus, the stars and more.  
Donations will be accepted and given to the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society.  This program is recommended for children age eight to adults. Follow the event on Facebook at Bluffton Parks for any weather related cancellations or updates. For more information call 824-6069.

Ossian First  Presbyterian VBS June 21-25
First Presbyterian Church of Ossian will hold their Vacation Bible School June 21-25 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening for children age four through sixth grade. 
This year’s theme is “SonSpark Labs.” The church is located at 123 S. Jefferson Street in Ossian.
The VBS closing program will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at the church. Refreshments will follow the program.

Homemade Card Class June 25
The Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a Homemade Card Class Thursday, June 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at city hall.
Cost is $7 for four cards or eight for $12. Cards will be simple and elegant with easy techniques thrown in to the mix. Angie Honegger will be the instructor.

Goldwing Express in concert July 18
Goldwing Express will perform in a free community concert Saturday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at Norwell High School auditorium. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. The event is sponsored by Ralph and Jan Thiele in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.  
Goldwing Express is from Branson, Mo., There were chosen as Entertainers of the Year in 2015 and were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.
There is no charge for the event, however tickets are required. The free tickets can be picked up after June 20 at Ossian State Bank.
The Thieles both have taught in the Northern Wells Community Schools for more that 30 years. They ask that those attending dress casual. They also ask that gifts be omitted. For more information call Ralph Thiele at 260-833-1734.

Salamonie Festival seeking framed photos
Members of the Salamonie Summer Festival committee will be making a veterans wall to co-inside with the theme of the festival for 2015, ”Home of the free because of the brave.”  
Members are in need of pictures framed or unframed of veterans that are no larger than a 8 x 10.  This is open to anyone who has or had been in the military.  The veteran does not need to be from Warren, but there must be a family member who is a Warren area resident. 
Forms may be picked up at the town hall during regular business hours.
