Optimist Pork Chop Dinner tonight
Members of the Bluffton Optimist Club will sponsor a Pork Chop Dinner during the Wells County 4-H Fair.
The dinner will be held Tuesday, July 22 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $8 per ticket. The meal will include: half barbeque smoked pork chop, baked potato, applesauce, roll and drink. (Eat-in or carry-out).
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the following locations: 4-H Office at the 4-H Park, Raymond James and Associates, Farm Credit Mid-America or any Optimist member.
Proceeds will go to fund youth projects in Wells County. 

SummerFest in Hartford City July 26
The second annual Juried SummerFest will be held on the courthouse square in Hartford City July 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. there will be an art show and  recepition with awards given to those participating in the event.
Activities on Saturday include a breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m.; a Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to noon; an Artisan’s Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Music from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a Chalk Contest at 11 a.m. Admission is free to the event.

Northern Gospel Convention July 31-Aug. 2
Alan Godsey and The Northmen will present the 15th annual Northern Gospel Singing Convention at Sunnycrest Baptist Family Life Center at 2172 W. Chapel Pike in Marion July 31, Aug. 1 and 2. Ther will be over 40 Christian music artists from across the county performing during the gathering.
Events on Thursday will begin at 5 p.m. Hours for Friday and Saturday are 1 to 5 p.m.

Now open: The Healing Room, located at 927 N. Main Street (In the River of Life Church).  The Healing Room is the place to receive prayer and instruction concerning Divine healing for your body. Swiss Village activities during Berne Swiss Days
During Berne Swiss Days July 24-27, Swiss Village will host a variety of events. On Friday, July 25 visitors may check out Swiss Village’s newly remodeled independent living apartments with a tour beginning at 11 a.m. from the main entrance. Informational materials, refreshments and door prizes will be available for attendees.
A free gospel concert will be held at 9:30 a.m. with Gospel singer Frances Bond. At 2 p.m. the Jay Fox Polka Band will entertain in the auditorium The Muselman Wellness Pavilion will host an open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, July 26, the Fort Wayne Kinder Und Junge Bavarian Dancers will perform at 2 p.m. in the auditorium More information about any event by calling the Berne Chamber of Commerce at (260) 589-8080 or at www.berneswissdays.com

USS Long Beach Reunion Sept. 8
USS Long Beach CGN-9 Assocaition, Inc. 2014 Reunion will be held in St. Louis, Mo. Sept. 8-14 at the Hilton St. Louis Airport at 10330 Natural Bridge Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63134.

Room rate is $89, including all taxes and breakfast for two people. Those attending should ID themselves as a member of the USS Long Beach Association Reunion.
