What's Up!

The Closet Fish and Chicken fundraiser Aug. 6
Tickets are now being sold for the ninth annual Fish and Chicken all-you-can-eat dinner to support “The Closet” at Family Centered Services. The dinner, to be held Aug. 6 at Calvary Lutheran church on North Main Street, Bluffton. It will include fish and chicken prepared by Dan's Fish Fry of Huntingotn. There will also be two side dishes, rolls, drink and homemade dessert.
Tickets are $9 in advance for adults or $10 at the door. Tickets are $6 for those ages six through 12. Those age five and younger are free. Tickets are available at: Napa Auto Parts, Expert Transmission and Troxel Equipment.

Free Friday Movies in July
Free Friday Movies in July Series will continued this Friday, July 9th. Bring your lawn chair, snacks and bug spray to Kehoe Park at dusk. The movie this week will be “Monsters vs. Aliens”. This event is fully funded by the Wells County Foundation.

Pennville Fair
Livestock Shows going on now
The Pennville Livestock Shows will be held July 6-10 at the Pennville Park. All youth shows are open to any youth that was enrolled in grades three through 12 as of May 2010. Rabbit Show grades one through 12, Horse Show any Age. All show have sign ins at 4 p.m. Show starts at 6 p.m.
July 8: Swine Show; July 9: Meat and Dairy Goat Show; July 10: Dog Show; July 11: Cat Show; July 10: Open Horse Show. Call 260-731-2481 (for both Horse Shows)

Angel Food July Order
Orders for Angel Food Ministries July menu can be placed at Sonlight Wesleyan Church between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or you can order online at www.angelfoodministries.com. The deadline at the church is Sunday, July 18th. Orders may be placed online only until noon July 25th. The monthly distribution will be Saturday, July 31. Bluffton Farmer’s Market
This week we have sweet corn, various vegetables, plants, baked goods, jewelry, bird houses, handmade cards, frozen meats, and more. Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings at the Dutch Mill Plaza. (Pd. Advt.)

Historical Museum Ice Cream Social
July 11
Wells County Historical Museum, located at 420 W. Market Street, Bluffton, will sponsor an Ice Cream Social Sunday, July 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be a free will donation.
Ice cream will be served with all the trimmings. Beverly Smitley will be at the museum to play her calliope. (she will be in the Street Fair parades in September.) Wyatt Landrum will be playing the piano inside during the afternoon. Come and enjoy their music.

Garden Walk in Decatur July 11
St Mary of the Assumption Church in Decatur will host a Garden Walk Sunday, July 11 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. RAIN OR SHINE!!
This event is sponsored by the Women of St Mary's and will feature six unique home gardens plus the beautiful gardens at St. Mary's Church, 414 W Madison St., Decatur. Cost of the tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students and free for children age 12 and younger.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Grainery, Heller's Nursery, Ritter's Flowers and Gifts, West End restaurant or at any of the Gardens sites the day of the walk. There will also be a raffle with a lot of garden items that have been donated by local businesses or parishioners.

Healing Service
July 11
A special healing service will be held Sunday, June 11 at 6 p.m. at Trinity Life Chapel, located one mile south of Berne on State Road 27. Rev. Tony Robles will speak about “Power of Pentecost.”
The public is welcome to attend the event.
