The United Way of Wells County is working with Wal-Mart to assist the teachers of Wells County.
Due to state budget cuts, teacher supplies are minimal. So United Way volunteers will collect items on four upcoming days — July 10 and 11 and July 24 and 25 — at the Wal-Mart store.
Donation hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, and 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 11. The same hours will be repeated on July 24 and 25.
Donations may also be dropped off at the United Way office, 122 LaMar St., Suite 118. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday during July.
A list of current needs is available at Wal-Mart or the United Way office. A list can also be obtained by calling 824-5589.
