Frauds and Scams: How to Avoid Them May 4
Michelle Mayer, from the Consumer Protection Division of the Indiana Attorney General’s Office will be addressing the topics of fraud, identity theft, and scams on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 6 p.m. in the Swiss Village Auditorium. Learn tips on how to avoid becoming a victim to these common problems, as well as how the Indiana Attorney General’s Office can assist Hoosiers if they do fall victim. Free breakfast for seniors May 7
In recognition of May as National Older Americans Month, Swiss Village and the Berne Rotary Club will be co-sponsoring their 20th annual Senior Breakfast Friday, May 7 from 7 to 9 a.m. Last year, over 300 area seniors attended the free breakfast at Swiss Village, located at 1350 West Main Street in Berne.
The hardy breakfast will consist of scrambled eggs, biscuits, pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. All seniors are welcome to attend for a time of good food and fellowship. Plus, sign up for door prize drawings and take advantage of health screenings that will be provided, including free blood pressure checks, Chem 30 Screens for $30, Chem 30 + TSH Screens for $40, and PSA Screens for $20. Parking will be available at the main circle drive entrance or in the north parking lot by the Social Corner. For more information call (260) 589-3173.

Warren Alumni
Banquet May 8
The Warren Alumni Banquet will be held May 8 at Knight-Bergman Center in Warren. All former students, teachers, and friends of the Warren School are invited.
